Itinerary: <\/strong>
\nDay 1: Piedras Rojas and highland lakes<\/strong>
\nWe will visit the Salar de Atacama, which forms part of a national reserve that protects three species of flamingoes and many migratory birds, found at Lake Chaxa. We will then visit the town of Socaire (3200 meters), to see the traditional houses built from volcanic stone (pumice), clay and straw. We will continue by ascending to the lakes Miscanti and Mi\u00f1iques, Salar Talar, and Piedras Rojas, before returning to the town of Socaire. After lunch, we will continue our route by exploring the point that marks the Tropic of Capricorn, as well as a local Inca highway. During our return journey, we will visit the town of Toconao, an oasis characterized by the production of traditional local fruits, as well as homes built from the region\u2019s traditional materials. Return to the hotel.<\/p>\n
