Itinerary:
Day 1: Excursion to Copacabana and the Island of the Sun from La Paz
We will leave your hotel at 07:45 am and travel to Copacabana (4 hours by road). After arriving at approximately midday, we will take a short walk around the sanctuary of Copacabana and visit the famous basilica where the Dark Virgin resides. After lunch, at around 01:30 pm, we’ll take a boat to the Island of the Sun (2 hours), arriving at the southern part of the island. We’ll climb the Yumani steps and visit the ruins of Pilcocaina. At around 04:30 pm, the boat will return to Copacabana and we’ll take the local bus back to La Paz, arriving in the city at around 09:30 pm.
