Itinerary:
Day 1: Tour of the Pachacamac ruins
Visit the shrine to the god Pachacamac, the creator of the universe worshipped by the ancient inhabitants of the Andes. This was a sacred and ceremonial center for at least two thousand years. Pilgrims traveled to this site in order to leave offerings and consult the Pachacamac oracle concerning events in the past, present and future. The site is composed of a Sun Temple, the Pachacamac Temple, and the Acllahuasi (or Palace of the Virgins of the Sun). The tour includes a visit to the bohemian Lima district of Barranco. And on the way, there’ll be the chance to enjoy imposing unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.
