Itinerary
Day 1: Puno – Taquile – Llachon
We will send a Spanish-speaking local assistant to pick you up from your hotel in Puno and take you to the port in Puno for our boat ride in a shared service to Taquile Island. Arriving at Taquile Island, we’ll meet our local guide and visit the island to learn more about this culture that thrives in the middle of the world’s highest navigable lake. Then, we will head to the main square, where we’ll have time to visit the center and handcraft stalls. After free time to eat lunch, we will return to the port and take a private boat to the Capachica Peninsula. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by the community and have time to enjoy their handcrafts and learn about their customs. Evening meal and accommodation with a local family.
